El pasado domingo 17 de mayo se celebró el Día de Internet, un evento declarado por la ONU a iniciativa de la Asociación de Usuarios de Internet, con el objetivo de promover el uso de Internet, y dedicado este año a la puesta en valor de la red en el marco de la crisis del COVID-19.
La Asociación “Somos Digital” junto a Guadalinfo, se ha unido a esta celebración diseñando y compartiendo en red videojuegos que facilitan a la ciudadanía la vida ante el Covid-19. El objetivo: responder a través de contenidos creados con Scratch a las nuevas necesidades surgidas de una situación inédita.
Fruto de esto, se han diseñado 117 video-juegos por parte de dinamizadores y usuarios de los Centros de Competencias Digitales, así como ciudadanos de todo el territorio nacional.
Scratch es una herramienta de programación básica utilizada para iniciar a los y las más jóvenes en programación desde edades tempranas, con especial atención a la prevención de la brecha de género. Se trata de una herramienta usada en los Centros de Competencias Digitales para despertar vocaciones tecnológicas que al tiempo permite, mediante sencillos juegos, sensibilizar, concienciar y formar.
Los proyectos puestos a disposición pública, se centran en la interiorización de hábitos higiénicos, el aprendizaje de nuevos comportamientos como el distanciamiento social, el correcto uso de mascarillas, las salidas por franjas horarias, por qué una población tiene más riesgo que otra, la visualización de conceptos complejos como las curvas de contagio, la reivindicación del papel de los científicos en esta crisis o la concienciación sobre el peso que cada persona tiene en la solución de esta situación, o la lucha contra la desinformación que tiene un destacado papel en este repertorio.
Internet mantiene un peso capital en esta crisis sanitaria y desde los Centros de Competencias Digitales se ha estado desde el principio junto a usuarios y usuarias, como agentes clave, para que siguieran conectados, combatiendo bulos, alertando de “agujeros” de seguridad y ofreciendo medidas correctoras; como vector de apoyo, solidaridad y organización de voluntariado y recursos locales para organizar cuidados y protección, desde lo global a lo hiperlocal y co-diseñando respuestas ciudadanas a esta crisis usando las competencias digitales como herramienta.
